Description
"This immersive installation invites brave volunteers to participate in an archive digitization project. You'll cross-reference databases with physical artifacts, uncovering the tragic fates of the communities and researchers that built and accessed the archive before you. You'll
interface with mysterious entities associated with a reality that is encroaching on our own - much like how fictional game worlds intersect with ours, with the you as pivot point, existing at once in the actual world and the virtual world of the fiction.
This database interface simulation game is a a research-creation project for a Digital Futures masters thesis. Players have the option of participating in the research by consenting to recording and/or filling in an exit survey about their experience, but this is entirely optional. ""

Considerations
Originally the
"Quiet Voices Society Archives"
But the QVC has been disbanded since the 60s. The archive was absorbed and then abandoned by a university for a few decades.
The current archive is operated my a community of volunteers who are passionate about rebuilding the history of the society (and furthering their original mandate) so it will named by that organization . I want "Quiet Voices" to be a reveal (but might also come up with something better later.)
I want the title to be specific, but also a little awkward and mysterious, in the way lobbying groups that spring out of other earlier groups are named.
